About John Campbell
John is a 7th generation Gullah native to Hilton Head Island where his family’s history and roots run deep. For 40 years, John grew up witnessing the growth, development and change of Hilton Head Island. This caught his attention at a young age and he wanted to learn everything he could about real estate in the area and how to get involved. Right out of high school, John got an internship at three of Bluffton’s top rated, private, gated communities such as Berkeley Hall, Belfair and Hampton Hall. John took what he learned and started buying his own land and properties for investments and continues to do so today. After learning and experiencing through his own real estate transactions, he decided to start assisting others in doing the same.
John now has 19 years’ experience in real estate locally and has been a full-time realtor since 2008. In 2021 John proudly led his team to be the #3 RE/MAX team in South Carolina. Today John is a member of the Hilton Head Island planning commission and the Gullah Geechee task force and a few other local committees. Anything John can do to give back to his community, he will. His favorite is volunteering and donating to the annual Thanksgiving community meal on Thanksgiving Day at the one and only Hudson’s Seafood. John’s hobbies include driving classic cars, traveling with his fiancé and walking their dog.
